Holme Moss Camping

Local Information

Holme Moss Camping is located exactly 2.5 miles by road from the summit of the tortuous Holme Moss climb - the Blue Riband climb on the Tour de France 2014 Grand Depart in Yorkshire.  The entire Holme Moss climb will be populated on the 6th July 2014 by tens of thousands of enthusiastic cycling fans keen to see their heroes from pro-cycling teams across the world.

Holme Moss Camping is only 2.1 miles from the popular tourist destination of Holmfirth - once famous for saucy seaside postcards and a dodgy sit-com, but now becoming a hub for the arts thanks to the Picturedrome venue and various festivals (Food & Drink, Folk, ArtArt Week etc) which take place throughout the year.

Holmfirth offers a wide range of food and drink options, plus plenty of independent shops and Co-Op and Lidl supermarkets.  Hinchliffe Mill offers a small local Londis shop (0.8 miles), with the Fleece Inn at Holme (0.7 miles) featuring "The Fleece Pantry" for local meat & veg etc.  Larger supermarkets are available in Meltham (Morrisons, 4 miles away) and Huddersfield (Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda etc 8.6 miles away).

Coddy's Farm Shop (1.6 miles) offers a selection of farm produce.

Close to the Holme Moss Camping site are various food and drink venues:
